Frequently Asked Questions
Here you will find answers to the most common questions about Homina’s conscious wellness experiences — how the sessions work, what to expect, and how to prepare.
How do experiences at Homina work?
Each experience is a conscious encounter, adapted to the person and the moment they are living through. We do not work with rigid protocols. You can learn more about the different therapeutic experiences available, which include bodywork, water-based experiences, and conscious support.
Do I need prior experience?
No. Homina experiences are suitable both for people who are arriving for the first time and for those who are already on an inner journey.
What should I bring to the session?
We recommend comfortable clothing. For water-based experiences, please bring a swimsuit and a personal towel (optional).
How long does an experience last?
The duration varies depending on the experience, but it usually lasts between 60 and 90 minutes, including arrival and integration time.
Who are these experiences for?
For people who feel the need to slow down, listen to the body, reconnect with themselves, and find a space of presence and care.
Who might these experiences not be suitable for?
For those looking for quick fixes, guaranteed results, or external answers without personal involvement in the process.
Are Homina experiences therapeutic?
Homina experiences are conscious wellness encounters and human-centered support spaces, focused on presence, listening, and body–mind–emotion integration. They do not replace medical or psychological care.
Do I need preparation or prior experience?
No prior experience is needed. Each session is adapted to the person and the moment they are living through.
How do I know which experience is most suitable for me?
We recommend reaching out first so we can answer questions and help you feel which experience is the best fit for your current moment.
Are the experiences suitable for babies and young children?
Yes. Some Homina experiences were created specifically for babies, young children, and families, including moments of water adaptation, sensory exploration, co-regulation, and strengthening the bond between baby and caregiver.
What kinds of support do you offer for babies and families?
Our support can take different forms depending on the child’s age, the family’s emotional moment, and how each baby responds to the space. We may work with gradual water adaptation, mother–baby co-regulation experiences, assisted floating, moments of touch and presence, Shantala baby massage, and family experiences in therapeutic water.
What if the child has never been in water?
No previous experience is necessary. Each experience is adapted to the child’s emotional and sensory rhythm. Some children enter the water quickly; others need more time to observe, feel safe, and approach gradually.
What happens if the child becomes blocked or uncomfortable?
We never force participation. The focus is not on performance or rapid adaptation, but on creating a safe, respectful, and regulating environment. Sometimes simply being present in the space, observing, or approaching the water gradually is already part of the trust-building process.
Is there a minimum number of sessions?
No. Some families look for a more continuous process, while others benefit from one-off experiences during specific moments of transition, emotional sensitivity, or the need for regulation. Each case is considered individually.
Do you need to know how to swim?
No. Experiences take place in warm therapeutic water, within a context of presence, relaxation, and close support. They are not swimming lessons and do not require technical skills.
Is the caregiver’s presence important during the experience?
Yes. In experiences for babies and young children, we value the caregiver’s presence as part of the process of safety, bonding, and emotional co-regulation.
Do these experiences replace medical or psychological care?
No. Homina experiences are conscious wellness spaces, rooted in presence and human support. They do not replace medical, psychological, or psychiatric care. When needed, we recommend and respect support from healthcare professionals.
Can I stop a session if I do not feel comfortable?
Yes. All experiences happen with continuous consent. You may stop, adjust, or end the session at any time. Respect for limits, pace, and personal feeling is fundamental at Homina.
